A product made out of merino wool needs just airing and it’s good to go. If a stain or pilling occurs then here are some tips to get rid of.

A to Z ABOUT HOW TO REMOVE PILLING

You can easily freshen up your knits by removing the pilling with a fabric shaver. Pilling is a normal phenomenon when it comes to natural fibers. Wool fibers are rather short and it’s inevitable that some of the endings want to poke out from the yarn and in time form pilling. One-time removal of pilling should prevent its recurrence for a while.

WHEN YOU WASH, USE THE RIGHT DETERGENT AND DELICATE WASHING MODE

Like said before, wool knits don’t need much washing. When the item is in need of washing, use the right detergent that is meant for wool and give the item a hand wash or use a delicate mode on your washing machine. Be sure that the water temperature does not exceed 30°C and the centrifuge stays between 500-800 spins/min. After the wash, spread the item on a flat surface to dry and shape it gently. We also recommend steaming the dried knit afterwards. This helps to remove the creases and gives the knit its original form.

HIDE THE KNITTING FROM LIGHT AND DUST

You can wear your knits all year round in our climate here in Estonia, but if you feel like one of them should hibernate during the summer, then put it in our special #bewoolish cotton bag. The bag is a protection against light, which can bleach the product, and also keeps pests and dust away.
